You might've heard about innovative, government-run programs related to the adoption of animals at the zoo or maybe about the legislators and MPs adopting villages for improving the maintenance methods. In a similar move, the senior officials at the Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) will now be required to adopt buses as per the latest undertaking which has been started by the authority.

Under the program, each assistant regional manager (ARM) will be required to adopt 10 buses while each service manager will adopt two buses each from their depots as per the instructions from the UPSRTC.

Reportedly, the officials will be responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the allotted set of buses for the duration of one month, after this a new set of buses will be assigned to the officials. Furthermore, at the conclusion of the one-month cycle, awards will be given to the three officials who demonstrate the highest level of efficiency.
