Lucknow defender Amir Ali has been named India's captain for the upcoming Men's Junior Asia Cup Hockey tournament, starting November 26. The tournament will be held in Muscat and the Lucknow player will lead India's 20-man squad for the tournament.

Notably, India has had an impressive record in this tournament, winning the trophy four times, in 2004, 2008, 2015, and 2023. Furthermore, Lucknow's Shardanand Tiwari is another player from our city who is featuring in the squad.
