Knocksense Shorts | Now enjoy an off-season discount on UPSRTC's air-conditioned bus service

The authority has decided to implement a 10 percent reduction in the fare for all air-conditioned buses, effective from December 16.

UPSRTC currently operates a variety of air-conditioned buses, ranging from high-end Volvo buses to more economical Rajdhani buses, serving both interstate and intrastate routes. However, the authority consistently experiences a decline in passenger numbers for these buses during the winter season, as travelers often opt for ordinary buses with lower fares.

In response to this seasonal trend, the authority has decided to implement a 10 percent reduction in the fare for all air-conditioned buses, effective from December 16. This special winter discount will remain in effect until February 2024.

As part of this discount, the new fares for air-conditioned buses are as follows:

  • AC 3X2 buses: ₹1.47 per km/seat

  • 2x2 buses: ₹1.74 per km/seat

  • Sleeper buses: ₹2.33 per km/seat

  • Volvo buses: ₹2.58 per km/seat

This initiative aims to make air-conditioned bus travel more accessible and appealing to passengers during the winter months, encouraging them to choose these comfortable options despite the seasonal dip in demand.
