Knocksense Shorts | Section 163 imposed in Lucknow to ensure law & order during festivals

Section 163 of the BNSS (formerly Section 144 of the CrPC) has been enforced in Lucknow to ensure peace and order during the ongoing and upcoming festive season. These restrictions, in effect until November 13, will cover key celebrations like Anant Chaturdashi, Vishwakarma Puja, Sharadiya Navratri, Dussehra, Diwali, and Chhath Puja.

Under this order, public gatherings of five or more people, processions, and demonstrations are strictly prohibited to maintain peace and decorum throughout the city during this festive period.
