With a motive to enhance the healthcare framework of the state, the Uttar Pradesh government has taken a significant step by planning to operate select community health centres (CHCs) through a public-private partnership (PPP) model.

The government has shortlisted 15 CHCs from various districts, including prominent locations like Lucknow, Varanasi, Gorakhpur among others.

To proceed with the implementation of the PPP model, a detailed proposal has been sent to the cabinet. Once the proposal is approved by the cabinet, a bidding process will be conducted. This bidding process will invite private healthcare providers and organizations to participate in establishing a partnership for managing and operating the selected community health centres of UP. Furthermore, this approach aims to leverage the expertise and resources of both the public and private sectors to improve healthcare services for the people.
