The University of Lucknow (LU) is soaring high on the score board of national rankings. Revealed on Sunday, the Uni World ranking placed LU on the 33rd position, making a leap of 13 ranks as compared to the previous year.
Uni World Ranking is a portal and search engine that reviews and ranks over 13,900 officially recognised higher education educational institutions across 200 countries.
“LU has been ranked 33rd amongst 887 Indian institutions, which includes prestigious institutions like IITs, NITs, Central Universities and private universities,” LU spokesperson Durgesh Srivastava said.
While the university made its place on the 32nd spot on the Indian Institutional Ranking Framework (IIRF) ranking list, it garnered 29th position in the EduRank2024.
"The University of Lucknow ranked 29th in India, 1587th (out of 14,131) in the global 2024 rating and scored in the top 50% across 77 research topics," it took to X to announce. The score is based on three factors, namely, research output, non-academic reputation and the impact of 58 notable alumni.
