Adding impetus to Lucknow's ongoing 'Thookna Mana Hai' campaign, Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) has now also imposed a fine of ₹250 on individuals caught urinating or defecating in public areas.

Under this, LMC officials are collaborating with UP police officials to conduct comprehensive inspections across various areas of the city.

The drive will contribute to the nationwide 'Swachh Bharat Mission'. Through it, the local authorities are also preserving the aesthetic enhancements which were made during the UP Global Investors Summit and G20 events. The effort is further expected to foster a healthy and hygienic environment for all.
