Knocksense Shorts | Uttar Pradesh gets 600 new MBBS seats as NMC approves more medical colleges

To strengthen medical education in Uttar Pradesh, the National Medical Commission's (NMC) Medical Assessment and Rating Board (MARB) has approved MBBS courses at five newly established medical colleges in Gonda, Kaushambi, Chandauli, Kheri, and Auraiya.

Additionally, seat capacity at Kanpur Dehat and Lalitpur medical colleges has been doubled from 50 to 100.

With these new seats, Uttar Pradesh will now have a total of 11,200 MBBS seats, with 5,150 in government colleges and 6,050 in private institutions.
