11 new AC e-buses to run between Rajajipuram & Deva Sharif in Lucknow from December 1

These new e-buses will be available at a gap of every 15-30 minutes

Public transportation in Lucknow is undergoing a change with the introduction of a new fleet of e-buses. These zero-emission buses are also being run on new routes in the city, boosting connectivity and making daily commute, a hassle-free task for the locals. Starting December 1, citizens will be able to catch the new AC e-buses while traveling from Rajajipuram to Deva Sharif. A total of 11 such buses will be plying on this route and travellers can catch one every 15-30 minutes.

Lucknow's Transport Department has slated the run of 11 new electronic buses across Lucknow. Reportedly, this new fleet has been provided to Lucknow under the state's Smart City Mission. The district has received a tender of 100 e-buses, of which 60 have been already deployed. The remaining 40 will be inducted soon, officials said.

To further this programme, the UPSRTC has also made arrangements to set up a new charging station at the Rajajipuram bus depot. Starting from this point, the new fleet will map through Charbagh Bus Station, Railway Station, GPO, Hazratganj Square, Nishatganj, Badshahnagar, Polytechnic Square, Kamta Chauraha, Chinhat, Tata Motors, Maati, Raswaroop Vishwavidyalaya and Gwari Square to finally reach Deva Sharif.

  • Chinhat-Deva Sharif: ₹32
  • Tata Motors- Deva Sharif: ₹26
  • Mati-Deva Sharif: ₹26
  • Ram Swaroop University-Deva Sharif: ₹21
  • Gwari Chauraha-Deva Sharif: ₹11
The scheme is a major step towards zero pollution, state-of-the-art public transport services, read reports. The new buses will open a new gateway of luxury travel for the city folks, at economical rates.
