Marking a decline in fresh cases of coronavirus, Lucknow reported 1,491 cases on Thursday. According to the daily health bulletin released by the administration, the capital city witnessed more recoveries than new cases on Thursday. Consequently, depicting a decline of 1,286 cases as compared to Wednesday, the active COVID caseload of Lucknow stood at 13,352 cases, as of January 27. With the addition of 2,777 recoveries marked on Thursday alone, the cumulative tally of recoveries of the capital city has now climbed to 2,67,447 cases. Meanwhile, with no new fatality recorded on the same day, the total death toll remained stagnant at 2,661, as of January 27. However, 20 people across the state succumbed to this viral disease on Thursday.
While the daily case count of COVID in Uttar Pradesh stood at 8,901 on Thursday, almost double recoveries were marked across the state on the same day. Ever since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 18,93,577 patients have reported their recoveries in the state, including 16,786 on Thursday alone. As a consequence, the active case load in the state now stands at 72,393 cases.
