Lucknow Electricity Supply Administration to install new feeders to reduce power cuts

Jatin Shewaramani

Parts of Lucknow have been grappling with frequent power outages since the peak summer season. In response, the Lucknow Electricity Supply Administration (LESA) has launched plans to upgrade the city’s power infrastructure by adding new feeders.

The outages were primarily due to the overloading of existing feeders, driven by increased power demand from residents. To address this issue, LESA will install over a dozen new feeders under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS).

This initiative includes identifying the most affected feeders and strategically implementing new ones across the city. The process is already underway.
