One day after the Ayodhya Ram Mandir inauguration, Lucknow saw heavy footfall at temples and roads on Tuesday. Along with the ongoing parade practises, throngs of devotees gathered at numerous Hanuman temples, leading to unusual traffic congestion across the city.
Hazratganj, especially, saw jammed roads due to the parade practise (which will continue till January 25). Other major areas in the city like Daliganj Pull, Hussainganj, Charbagh, Parivartan Chowk, among others, also faced traffic disruptions. "I was stuck in the traffic jam for more than half an hour. Not only were the red lights packed but routes, that are not normally blocked, were full of vehicle owners going to their respective offices," shared a corporate employee.
To avoid delays, skip prominent crossings and take alternate routes. Moreover, you can always opt for Lucknow Metro to beat the traffic.
