11 commercial hubs to be set up along the upcoming green corridor in Lucknow!

Reportedly, the corridor will alleviate the traffic situation in the city and reduce the time span of an hour-long journey to 15 minutes.

In a bid to strengthen urban infrastructure in the city, the Lucknow Development Authority has proposed to set up 11 commercial hubs along both sides of the upcoming green corridor. As per reports, the four-lane road will be established between IIM Road and Kisan Path, with an objective to boost connectivity across the entire length of the district. Reportedly, the corridor will alleviate the traffic situation in the city and reduce the time span of an hour-long journey to 15 minutes.

45 acres of land identified for the project

According to reports, Hardoi Road, Sitapur Road, Old Lucknow and Khadra will be linked with the construction of the slated green corridor. Speeding up the plans for the commercial hub project, the LDA has already spotted 45 acres land. Reportedly, the establishment of commercial centres was a part of the feasibility report for the Green Corridor. Now, the complete information about the scheme will be included in the Detailed Project Report (DPR).

As per reports, the expenditure and expected returns from the commercial hubs project will be determined by Tata Consultant Engineers and they will submit a comprehensive report in this regard. After streamlined plans are chalked out, the project will be executed under two phases. It has been reported that engineers from TCS will make a presentation encapsulating all the details of the scheme by August 30.

In addition to this facility, Lucknow authorities are also working on a number of projects to resolve the traffic woes and propel easier vehicular movements. Given the string of interventions, it can expected that the road network in Lucknow will be ameliorated soon.
