In a bid to boost inoculation numbers across the rural areas of Lucknow, the city authorities have planned to organise extensive drives for the rural residents on Monday. Reportedly, the district administration and the health department made an announcement regarding the same on Thursday. As per reports, the schedules will be focused on ensuring vaccination coverage for more than 1.5 lakh Lucknow residents in a single day.

According to reports, the count of camps will be increased significantly for this program. Further, reports state that the vaccine doses will be administered to 2,000 people at the urban centres while 1,000 individuals will be vaccinated at the rural sites. As a part of the program, the officials will lay special emphasis on the villages with lower rates of vaccinations.
The government officials will seek cooperation from the gram panchayats, school teachers, pradhans, ASHA and Aganwadi staff to spread awareness amongst the citizens. Besides, nodal officers have been appointed for each of the rural blocks.

The state authorities have come up with a unique scheme for driving the vaccination program. As per reports, the government school teachers will give forms to the students for providing details about the non-vaccinated individuals at their homes. Based on this information, special camps will be conducted and the students will be asked to send their relatives for vaccination at these camps. Further, the authorities will also undertake a door-to-door campaign to motivate people for immunisation, read reports.
As per records, a total of 35,19,172 vaccine doses have been administered to date. While 24,89,872 citizens have received at least first dose of the vaccine, 10,29,300 beneficiairies have been fully inoculated in Lucknow.
