Lucknow News | 20 new smart vending zones to come up soon

Jatin Shewaramani

Lucknow authorities have announced plans to establish 20 new smart vending zones across the city, with the first one already set up in Vibhuti Khand, opposite the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan.

The newly created Vibhuti Khand vending zone features 40 uniform stalls, and the stretch is equipped with proper lighting, benches, sheds for rain protection, and waste disposal bins. This initiative aims to provide a more organized and hygienic environment for both vendors and the public.

New vending zones to improve hygiene and safety

Lucknow is known for its vibrant street food culture, but many areas, including popular markets and lanes, struggle with sanitation and safety issues. The introduction of these modern vending zones is expected to address these challenges, improving the overall experience for residents and visitors alike.

Locations such as Indira Nagar, Aashiyana, LDA Colony, Nishatganj, Jankipuram, Lucknow University, and various spots in Gomti Nagar have been identified for future smart vending zones, as part of the city's broader development plan.
