In an effort to ensure pothole-free roads in Lucknow, LMC and the Public Works Department (PWD) have taken significant measures by filling potholes across approximately 37 m of the road network.

The Municipal Corporation reported that these initiatives have made nearly 34 kilometers of roads usable, with additional stretches receiving much-needed maintenance. Potholes were filled in several key areas, including Janki Vihar Colony, near Sahara Estate, E Block and B Block in Rajajipuram, and Garhi Kanaura in Talkatora.

Further repairs are planned, with the PWD set to reconstruct the road between the 1090 intersection and the Polytechnic intersection, as the upper layer of this stretch has suffered extensive damage due to recent rainfall. The civic authorities will be able to repair roads in most of the prominent areas of the city by October 10.
