Lucknow News | Heavy rainfall triggers waterlogging; More showers expected today

Jatin Shewaramani

Lucknow experienced a heavy downpour yesterday, accompanied by strong winds and storm-like conditions. Rainfall measured 5.3 mm, continuing from 3 pm to 6 pm, leading to a drop in temperature. The downpour caused widespread waterlogging in areas such as Aminabad, Indira Nagar, and parts of Lalbagh, disrupting daily life.

Reportedly, the Meteorological Centre Lucknow has forecast more rain today due to the formation of a low-pressure system over eastern Uttar Pradesh. A rain/thunderstorm warning has been issued for Lucknow and surrounding regions, with temperatures expected to range between 25.6°C and 34°C, a slight drop from yesterday.
