The new academic session of Atal Awasiya Vidyalaya (Atal Residential Schools) in Mohanlalganj, is set to commence today, marking the beginning of the 2024-25 academic year across 18 divisions. A grand function, graced by the state's Chief Minister, is currently underway.

This year, 6,480 students will be enrolled, with a focus on children of laborers and those orphaned during the COVID-19 pandemic. The inaugural session of these schools began on September 11 last year.

Due to the event, the DCP Traffic, Lucknow, has announced traffic diversions in the Mohanlalganj area.

The Atal Residential School in Mohanlalganj is set to commence its new academic session this Thursday. In light of the occasion, traffic diversions will be in effect, restricting vehicle movement near the venue:

  • Vehicles coming from the Mohanlalganj and Phulwariya Railway Crossing will be diverted away from Gosainganj and Khujouli, instead taking Kisan Path via Harkanshgadhi and Kabirpur.

  • Additionally, the stretch between Puranpur and Khujouli Chauraha will remain closed to heavy vehicles, which will have to take the Kisan Path through Mohanlalganj.

  • Vehicles from Gosainganj will also be diverted towards Kabirpur via Kisan Path.

The event, which began at 6 AM, is scheduled to continue throughout the day. Commuters in the area are advised to consider the traffic diversions mentioned earlier and plan their routes accordingly.
