UP Police awarded with Smart Policing award for 'Crime Investigation & Prosecution' category

Uttar Pradesh Police earned recognition at the FICCI Smart Policing Awards 2022, clinching the prestigious Smart Policing Award for their innovative approach in 'Crime Investigation and Prosecution'. Their pioneering achievement revolves around the deployment of an advanced AI-based Data Analytics Tool tailored specifically for Anti-Corruption efforts, by blending of technology and law enforcement prowess.

LMC conducts "Matches Against Garbage" initiative as part of the Indian Swachhta League

The 'Indian Swachhata League' which is held every year throughout India is an inter-city competition, driven by youth, aimed at creating Garbage Free Cities as part of Swachh Bharat Mission-Urban 2.0.

In Lucknow, the municipal authorities have launched the "Matches Against Garbage" initiative under this league, with a comprehensive 17-day plan to ensure the cleanliness of commercial and tourist areas. On Friday, September 15, LMC, in partnership with the Ward Councillor and local residents, carried out a vigorous cleanliness campaign that included the chanting of cleanliness slogans and a brief plog run.

Counterfeit ICC Jersey sales deemed punishable in Lucknow 

As the ICC Men's World Cup matches approach the city, local cricket enthusiasts and matchgoes will be spotted sporting Indian jerseys during the matches.

However, many of these jerseys are unauthorized. Consequently, the government is implementing strict measures to combat counterfeit ICC jerseys, including legal action against sellers and factories producing jerseys with ICC logos.

Temporarily restricted trains from UP to Jammu Tavi resumed

Starting from September 18, a number of train services from the Northern Division of Railways to Jammu Tavi, which were temporarily cancelled, are scheduled to resume. These services include the 12919 Dr. Ambedkarnagar-Mata Vaishnodevi Katra Express, the 15655 Katra Express, and the 12587 Gorakhpur Jammu Tavi Express.

Application process for EV subsidies begins in Lucknow RTO

Lucknow residents who acquired electric vehicles (two-wheelers or four-wheelers) after October 14, 2022, can now apply for government subsidies at the Lucknow RTO. The application process for EV buyers has recently commenced, and so far, the RTO has received a total of 364 applications.

Rainfall, pleasant weather makes comeback in Lucknow, expected to continue till Sunday

Since last night, on September 15, the city has been enjoying a pleasant weather spell, with moderate rainfall and a gentle breeze gracing the area since the morning. According to the Indian Meteorological Department's (IMD) report, residents of Lucknow can anticipate similar weather conditions with moderate rainfall and the possibility of thunderstorms for this upcoming Sunday.
