On Friday, the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd (UPPCL) initiated a statewide campaign aimed at reaching out to consumers via telephone to remind them to settle their electricity bills. As part of this drive, the UPPCL chairman, managing director, directors and discom managing directors will personally call 10 users each day. Similarly, directors and other officials at the distribution companies' headquarters will reach out to 15 consumers daily. Chief engineers, SDOs and JEs will make phone calls to 30 consumers each and so forth.
