In a bid to ensure zero traffic jams outside schools in the city, District Magistrate Surya Pal Gangwar has directed Lucknow schools to establish traffic control rooms on their campuses. Apart from that, 10 major schools in Lucknow, that often see huge traffic jams outside their premises, have been asked to prepare a presentation showing the steps they've taken to reduce congestion.

Action will be taken against vehicles parked outside schools

Schools in Lucknow have also been asked by the District Magistrate to come up with a master plan featuring measures they will take to ensure zero traffic congestion outside their premises. Furthermore, action will be taken against vehicles without drivers that are found parked outside schools as their registration certificates (RCs) will be confiscated on the spot.

As for staff vehicles, schools have being directed to park all their pooled vehicles and those of the staff inside the premises. Those schools that do not have such a facility should find a spot nearby and use it as a parking lot.
