Lucknow to get a new convention centre; will be the 2nd largest after Mumbai's Jio World Centre

The convention centre will have a capacity to host 8,000 people.

The Housing and Development Board of Lucknow has initiated the plan to establish a new convention centre in the capital city. This will be the second largest centre in the country, after the Jio World Centre in Mumbai. Spread in an area of more 24 acres, this facility will come up in the Avadh Vihar Yojna area of Lucknow and will have a capacity of 8,000 people.

Will include a state-of-the-art auditorium and a 5-star hotel

The new convention centre will include facilities such as a large auditorium and a five-star hotel. Furthermore, the state-of-the-art auditorium with a capacity to hold 2,000 people will be equipped with large LED screens, noise proofing and other advanced facilities.

Notably, Indira Gandhi Pratishthaan with a capacity of 2,000 people, is the largest convention centre in Lucknow. Acknowledging the need for a larger establishment, authorities have started working on the roadmap of the the new and bigger project.
