Work has officially begun on Lucknow's largest and most advanced bus terminal, located in Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar. Spread across an impressive 60,000 square meters, this state-of-the-art facility is being developed through a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) between UPSRTC and the Omaxe Group.

Once completed in approximately 18 months, the terminal will house 70 platforms for regular buses and an additional 16 platforms dedicated to electric buses, paving the way for a more eco-friendly public transport system in the city.

Bus terminal to feature modern amenities and shopping mall

The upcoming Omaxe Busport in Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, is set to transform public transport in Lucknow. Spanning over 60,000 square meters, the project will include both core bus infrastructure and a variety of commercial amenities. While over 10,000 square meters are dedicated to bus operations, the rest of the area will host conveniences like a post office, bank, ATMs, a police booth, and a security control room.

A major highlight of the terminal is a luxurious shopping mall, integrated by the Omaxe Group, adding significant commercial appeal. Once completed, the terminal will handle 400 to 1,200 buses daily, catering to around 60,000 passengers, and substantially boosting the city's public transport capacity.
