In an attempt to reduce traffic snarls on the busy roads of old Lucknow, LDA is working on the establishment of robotic parking in the Chowk area. Being built on the land provided by the fire fighting department, this first-of-its-kind multilevel facility will change the parking system into a completely automatic process with magnetic cards, as stated by reports.

Deploying smart usage of technology, the upcoming building will refurbish the parking system in old Lucknow. Reportedly, the parking complex will also come with the advantage of being used for 30 years at a minimal price. Given the low cost of construction, the campus can house a set of 32 vehicles in an expected amount of ₹6 lakhs. Additionally, the production value would reduce with an increase in the capacity of the establishment. As suggested by the design drafts, the project is using the most efficient technology with prospects of encapsulating more vehicles in lesser space.

Censors to indicate the availability of space

In this parking facility, drivers would leave their vehicles at a designated spot. Then, the robotic platform would take them to an empty space automatically. The consumers would be able to get back their vehicles using the magnetic cards offered by the facility. It is to be noted that censors would indicate the availability of spots in the complex. Equipped with the means of power regeneration, the new parking complex is assuring coherent use of energy.

Apart from the commuters, this move will bring a sigh of relief to the residents of the nearby areas as well. These areas include the Chowk Stadium, Clock Tower, Rumi Gate, Teele Wali Masjid, Bada Imambada, KGMU, Buddha Park, Hathi Park and Atal Bihari Convention Centre are assured with improved parking for their vehicles.

Beneficial to both the citizens and district administration

If common civic problems are addressed efficiently, the path of development stands free of roadblocks. With the inventive use of technology and artificial intelligence, this upgraded amenity will be beneficial to the citizens and district administration alike. With projects like these, Lucknow is all set to evolve as one of the best smart cities in the country.
