According to the master plan, the park is located in the green belt and it was previously envisioned as a city forest. Now, it has become a spot frequented by tourists and locals alike. The park doesn't just act as a great picnic spot but is also a favourite of health enthusiasts, owing to the great cycling tracks, jogging tracks, open gym it offers. The playing area too has a number of swings for the kids. Assuring a proper layout plan for the massive area of the park, these jogging tracks, cycling tracks and pedestrian paths were constructed in the ratio of 2:3:4. Additionally, all these facilities are free from obstructions enabling senior citizens and the specially-abled to use them with ease.
Amongst the highlights, the 25 feet tall statue visible from all sides of the park attracts a large count of visitors. In addition to this, the pathways intersect through the entire landmark heightening its visual appeal and linking different areas like the cultural hub and the artificial lakes. Further, the walkways are equipped with nearly 400 light poles that have energy-efficient LED bulbs. This beautifies the park without causing over-utilisation of scarce energy resources.
