Mati Kala Mela is coming to the city to double the fun this Diwali! Notch up your festival shenanigans this year by going vocal for local at this 10-day long craft mela.

All hail art!

The Mati Kala Mela is organised to boost the craft of local artisans of UP. Herein, you'll find clay and pottery products in a wide range of hues, engendered by craftsmen of numerous districts of the state. Get ready for a glorious display of exquisite skill and labour at this festival of celebration of life.

Show that it is, after all, the dilwalo ki Diwali by promoting the colourful and magnificent art of pottery and clay.

One-stop fair for Diwali shopping

The Mati Kala Mela is here, in all its glory, to spread awareness about the state's rich cultural heritage of craftsmanship this Diwali. From diyas to idols and all the decorative items that brighten our homes during the Festival of Lights, this fair has it all for your Diwali shopping needs.

An array of artistic genius creations will include terracotta of Gorakhpur, black pottery from Azamgarh, Khurja's earthen cooker and clay products from Agra, Lucknow, Mirzapur, Azamgarh, Chandauli, Unnao, Ballia, Kanpur, Pilibhit, Allahabad, Varanasi, Ayodhya and Banda.

Be vocal for local this Diwali

An absolutely aesthetic display, you'll get idols of similar size and shape this year. Besides beautifully handcrafted clay products, you can also look forward to live demonstrations by craftsmen on their artistic wheels and learn a thing or two! A three-day training will also be provided to aspiring artisans in the process of clay-making. Be ready to meet more technically aware artisans. Because, now craftsmen will be given training on e-marketing and how to promote their products online at the mela.
