With a motive to reduce the passenger load and to alleviate traffic congestion around Lucknow's Kaiserbagh bus stand to some extent, multiple buses which used to operate from the bus stand have now been shifted to other locations of the city.

The move was implemented this Saturday as per which buses of Devipatan and Barabanki depot will now be operated from the Avadh bus stand of Lucknow.

Buses will now be available at the Awadh Bus Stand

Infamous for the chaotic sight of regular traffic snarls, the Kaiserbagh bus stand and the nearby area have always experienced severe road congestion due to a high influx of intercity buses. Owing to the same, UPSRTC's Additional Managing Director, Smt. Annapurna Garg issued the directive for shifting bus operations of Devipatan and Barabanki Depot buses.

Up until now, about 30 buses used to operate from Kaiserbagh bus stand to Devipatan depot. On the other hand a total of 12 buses used to run from Kaiserbagh to Barabanki Depot. These buses going to Bahraich, Gonda and Balrampur will no longer be available at the Kaiserbagh bus stand between 9 am to 6 pm.

Incidentally, all the buses of the aforementioned depots and Janrath buses will now operate from the Awadh bus stand of Lucknow.
