With India's acquisition of the G20 presidency, various states will be hosting multiple events throughout the year. India holds the presidency from December 1, 2022, to November 30, 2023.
In tandem with this, India will host over 200 meetings in over 50 cities across 32 different work streams, during which G20 member countries will come together to prioritize crucial matters such as multilateralism, share solutions that promote growth, remap development plans and achieve Sustainable Development Goal’s (SDG) targets. A total of 11 G20 meetings will also be organized in UP cities in the month of February, of which one meeting will be in Lucknow.
Out of the 11 G20 meetings which are to be organized in the state between Feb 13-15, six will be organized in Varanasi, three in Agra, one in Lucknow and one in Greater Noida.
Reportedly, the meeting which is to be held in Lucknow will be the 1st Digital Economy Working Group (DEWG) meeting of the G20 events schedule. Special emphasis will be laid on India's technical competence and expertise over advanced tech methods including artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics.
