Witnessing a sharp decline in the number of COVID cases in the state, the Government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to call off the existing pandemic-mandated night curfew in all districts including Lucknow. In order to trap and tackle the spread of Coronavirus infection, a night curfew from 11 PM to 6 AM had been active for a long time now. As per reports, the relaxation order issued by the administration today, is effective immediately.

After battling with the deadly virus for more than an year, Uttar Pradesh seems to be back on the road to recovery. With strict adherence to the time-tested strategy of case isolation and contact tracing the administration continues to fight against this deadly virus.

Notably, after considering the consistent downward graph of this viral infection, the authorities had allowed certain relaxations in the COVID-induced restrictions. However, the state government has continuously laid emphasis on maintaining all the mandatory protocols as the pandemic is still not over yet. As of now, with 19 fresh cases reported on Tuesday, there are 118 active COVID cases in the state at present, says the official data. Even though we have moved past the days of danger, no one should lower their guards and follow the basic rules of social distancing and wearing a mask.
