The Architectural Survey of India (ASI) and the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) have commenced an extensive survey of various historical sites within the city. Notable sites undergoing this survey include Bada Imambara, Chhota Imambara, Saadat Ali Tomb, and Rumi Darwaza. This survey, launched today, will pave the way for a thorough restoration and enhancement of these historical structures. Additionally, the adjoining areas of these sites will undergo improvements to boost tourism.
The Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow recently achieved 100% placement for its students during the summer placement drive. A total of 555 students received 576 job offers, with the highest package being ₹42 lakhs per annum.
The state government will be working on upgrading as many as 10 govt. run schools, lying on the main roads of Lucknow and Barabanki. These institutions, which will work as 'Demo Schools', will function as primary models for implementing the New Education Policy 2020.
Reportedly, there hasn't been any respite from the continues surge of dengue cases in the city. By Tuesday, a total of 28 cases were reported across Lucknow. Furthermore, recent findings have shown that nearly 38% of the dengue cases in the past 30 days in Lucknow have been reported from areas under the Aliganj and Chander Nagar community health care centres, making both areas the hotspots of vector-borne disease in the city.
Due to the ongoing remodeling of railway tracks near Varanasi Cantt railway station, approximately the schedule of 75 trains originating from Lucknow have been affected. This has resulted in the cancellation of certain trains, while others have been rescheduled.
