LDA plans to construct 7-storey senior citizen apartments in Gomti Nagar. These apartments, with a carpet area ranging from 500 to 600 sq. ft., will offer comprehensive amenities to ensure safety and convenience for the elderly. Eligibility for leasing will be restricted to individuals aged 60 and above who are residing away from their families.
The UP government has recently made revisions to the proposed state capital region (SCR) development plan, centred in Lucknow. The SCR will now encompass Hardoi, Sitapur, Barabanki, Unnao, and Rae Bareli, while Kanpur and Kanpur Dehat have been excluded. This adjustment reduces the SCR's area from 34,002 sq km to 28,826 sq km.

The meteorological department aims to enhance the accuracy of weather data for the public by installing specialized weather tracking devices across all regions of UP. This allowed the high-end hardware consisting high-speed cameras and infrared flashes to capture clear images of vehicles found breaking traffic rules. Now, with the help of the system, the traffic officials have caught a total of 25 flouters, against which further action will be taken.
