It's time to get your voices heard, Lucknowites, for your opinion matters! The Lucknow Municipal Corporation (LMC) are calling for public opinions to enhance the Ease of Living (EOL) index of the city and note how facilities provided to the common man help, under the Smart City ‘ease of living programme'. It will also check how the city is faring on the clean city and green city parameters, amidst other factors.

This Citizen Perception Survey (CPS) will record suggestions related to situations around the quality of life here. Last year, Lucknow had achieved a high rank of 26 out of 111 cities. As many as 14 cities from Uttar Pradesh were considered to have an edge and were added in the list.

The survey is live!

Answer questions revolving around healthcare, education, living, employment, pollution, travel, recreation, safety, etc, in your city, and burning questions about the quality, affordability and accessibility of facilities in this 5-minute survey to add to the upliftment of your city. Rank it in all honesty because every voice matters in discovering the most livable cities in the country!

In case you're wondering what all of this is about, the Ease of Living, organised by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), is an assessment tool to evaluate quality of life, sustainability, and economic ability of the place, and analyse how different initiatives for the urban development in the particular city is impacting the living conditions.

Launched in 2020, about 3.2 million submitted these surveys that year and approximately 30% weightage was given to the CPS to determine the EOL Index. This year, some 264 cities are slated to participate in the survey.
