Opening a new route of connectivity between Lucknow and Ghazipur, Purvanchal Expressway is all set to start operations in August. As per reports, the 6-lane facility stretches over a length of more than 340 Km, linking Lucknow with Azamgarh, Mau, Ghazipur, Faizabad, Sultanpur, Ambedkar Nagar and Amethi. Reportedly, the project has been executed at an approximate cost of more than ₹22,000 crores with an objective to propel economic progress in the far-flung areas of the state.

Reportedly, Chand Saray village near Lucknow's Gosainganj will be connected to the Haydaria village in Ghazipur, located on National Highway-31 with this new road. According to reports, UP Additional Chief Secretary Awanish Awasthi apprised that all lanes of the expressway will be operational by August 15. Notably, the implementation works got postponed by a month but the officials are now making sure to get the facility commissioned as soon as possible.
Besides enhancing the road infrastructure, the new expressway will also help in fuelling development amongst the small towns. Reportedly, the Minister for Industrial Development in the Uttar Pradesh cabinet informed that around 95% of the construction work has been completed while the remaining will be finished in the current month.

It has been stated that the Ganga expressway works will also be accelerated in September. Reportedly, the ACS informed that the upcoming Ganga expressway would cover nearly 594 Km in length. Given the fact, that Uttar Pradesh is evolving as a hub of industrial investments, better and secure road connectivity has become the need of the hour. Interestingly, internationally acclaimed firms like Microsoft and Samsung are deliberating upon setting up their centres in the state.
The Ganga Expressway will traverse through 12 districts -- Meerut, Bulandshahar, Hapur, Amroha, Sambhal, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Hardoi, Unnao, Rae Bareli, Pratapgarh and Prayagraj. While more than 80% of the land been taken for the latest establishment, specific interventions will be rolled out soon for the materialisation of further plans.
