Repair work at Lucknow's Awadh Bus Stand completed; Command Centre to come up soon

Knocksense Staff

After numerous passenger complaints and a thorough inspection, repair and renovation were ordered for bus stands in Lucknow. As part of these upgrades, the revamp work at the Awadh Bus Stand in Kamta has been completed after a month.

This upgraded bus stand now boasts a range of new facilities, including a training centre for drivers, enhanced seating, ATMs, new food stalls, cold drinking water, and a total of 66 new fans. The renovation work, which began before the Lok Sabha elections, has now reached completion. Additionally, plans are underway to establish a new command centre for the Lucknow region at this very bus depot.

The Awadh Bus Stand sees a daily footfall of around 4,000 passengers and operates 450 buses. And is therefore considered the ideal location for a command centre to oversee bus transport in the region.
