With the plummeting case tallies in Uttar Pradesh, the state government has announced a new set of relaxations to be followed from June 21. As a part of this, the timeline of the night curfew has been shortened and now, the curbs will be observed from 9 PM to 7 AM. Thereby, all retail shops and stores will be allowed to operate till 9 PM from Monday onwards. Further, the restaurants will be permitted to function with 50% of the total seating capacity and the street food joints can also be opened.
As of now, the hotels and restaurants were not allowed to host visitors and only delivery services were permitted. Now, the policy is being tweaked to allow guests up to 50% capacity. Additionally, the citizens would be able to relish their favorite meals from the street food joints after a long time, with the resumption of their services.
Though the state administration is planning to relax a number of restraints, the officials have been asked to make sure that COVID protocol is strictly adhered to. As per reports, the instructions call for setting up COVID helpdesks at restaurants and other frequented spots. At this spot, the name, phone number and other details of the visitors will be recorded. Besides, masking and social distancing protocol have to be strictly followed by all.
