The University of Lucknow has now implemented a new rule as per which applicants registering via online portal for the varsity itself and for the affiliated colleges will be required to pay a charge of ₹100 while registering through the admission portal.
The decision was made during a meeting that focused on discussions related to admissions for the 2023-24 session at LU. However, the rule will not be applicable to Lucknow's National PG college which is an autonomous institute.
Reportedly, there are as many as 544 colleges in Lucknow and neighbouring cities including Rae Bareli, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur and Hardoi which are affiliated to Lucknow University.
The move has been taken to ensure that the university has comprehensive data and information about all candidates seeking admission to any of its affiliated colleges within the districts.
Incidentally, every applicant seeking admission for any of the courses must first register with the LU admission portal and pay a nominal fee of ₹100.
After this, a registration number will be generated from LU's portal which the candidates will be required to use for applying for admissions in affiliated colleges.
As per the info, it has been confirmed that the centralized admission process for LU's courses and affiliated colleges, as in previous years, will continue to be conducted. By opting for this process, candidates will be required to fill only a single admission form, whether they intend to seek admission to LU or any of the designated colleges.
