To encourage eco-tourism and biodiversity conservation, construction work of Zoological Park and Kukrail Night Safari in Lucknow will commence soon with the budgetary allocation of ₹50 crore. According to the forest officials, the total project cost will roundup to ₹1,600 crore, however, the initial allotment will help the forest department to start the primary work.
The government of Uttar Pradesh plans to make the Kukrail Safari one of the key attractions for tourists in Lucknow. While the Kukrail forest is spread over 2027.46 hectors, the night safari along with the zoo will be developed on 500 acres.
Taking environmental factor into consideration, only open areas of the forest will be used for the project without affecting the existing flora and fauna. Further, for the convenience of night safari visitors, four-lane roads will also be constructed to provide hassle-free commute to the night safari visitors.
There is already a lot of buzz amongst Lucknowites for the upcoming Kukrail Night Safari as it will proffer a fresh new experience to tourists and locals alike. With this UP's eco-tourism will also get a boost.
