Giving a boost to the existing healthcare infrastructure in the state, Uttar Pradesh is all set to start a Live Emergency Monitoring System soon! To be set up on the lines of the COVID Command Centre, the state will get an Integrated Trauma and Emergency Centre. With this, UP will become the first state in India to roll out this public healthcare system.
Notably, the first 48 are extremely crucial in emergency cases. To ensure proper treatment for each citizen, the state government has proposed to offer free emergency care to patients during the first two days. This move aims to improve and expand the current healthcare infrastructure and offer the best possible services to the folks in UP.
This scheme will be implemented with the help of the upcoming Live Emergency Monitoring System. As per the officials, it will be rolled out in a phased manner.
Over the course of next 5 years, around ₹1600 crores will be used to advance the existing medical facility in the state. Moreover, free treatment worth ₹550 crores will be offered to trauma and non-trauma patients, ever year. With a total of ₹300 crores, the current ambulance service will also be tweaked under this initiative. As a part of this scheme, the ambulance service will be available on a single call in the state, revealed officials.
Reportedly, 750 new ambulances with advanced life support system will be bought by the government for the same. Out of the total budget of ₹3000 crores, ₹165 crores will be allocated for the operations of the vehicles, salary and training of the staff. The expenses of the call centre, command centre, their operations and maintenance will be managed from a total of ₹125 crores.
