The UP State Tourism Department is set to enhance facilities for devotees and tourists at the ancient Hanumant Dham Temple. Redeveloped a few years ago with new structures, the temple, located on the banks of the Gomti River, has gained increased popularity in the city.

Hanumant Dham, renowned for its historical and religious significance, draws large crowds for worship and darshan, especially during major events. The government now plans to allocate funds to improve essential amenities within the temple complex, aiming to further enhance the visitor experience.

Gomti Riverbank near the temple to undergo thorough cleaning

Under this initiative, existing facilities at Hanumant Dham will be upgraded, and the stretch along the Gomti Riverbank will be thoroughly cleaned.

Since its renovation and beautification, the temple has become a prominent destination, drawing devotees from other cities. Visitors often explore nearby landmarks such as Bada Imambara, Chota Imambara, and Rumi Darwaza after their visit. These improvements are expected to enhance tourism in the city. Additionally, similar beautification projects are being undertaken for other religious and historical sites in Lucknow.
