Under the Smart City initiative, 75 new health ATMs will be installed in Lucknow. The health kiosks will be equipped with integrated medical devices which will be able to conduct blood tests, provide medicines and offer prescriptions via Telemedicine.
These ATMs will bring health services closer to the citizens and ensure help to all. The installation for the same will reportedly begin in October.
Additionally, technicians who will assist these health kiosks will be trained to ensure proper management of the machines and to expedite the process of setting up the kiosks. The move is aimed at increasing the accessibility of health facilities for the people.
The heath ATMs will be equipped with medical devices to offer basic vital, cardiology, neurology, pulmonary, and gynaecology test facilities in a very short time. Additionally, patients will be able to check basic health indicators including, Body Mass Index (BMI), Bone Mass, Pulse Rate, Muscle Mass, blood pressure, Haemoglobin, Metabolic age, weight, height, temperature, Basal metabolic rating, Visceral fat, Oxygen saturation and Blood glucose.
A total of 14 doctors from SGPGI will be part of the Telemedicine service that will be offered from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM every day. As per the officials, all these services will be offered at the price similar to that of a govt-run health institute.
