In a first-of-its-kind offering, the Uttar Pradesh State Institute of Forensic Sciences (UPSIFS) is all set to introduce a new integrated five-year forensic science course. The BSc LLB (Forensic Science) degree programme will be offered starting the new academic session.

Attempt to ensure swift and fair administration of justice

This never-before-seen forensic science course in UP is an attempt to bolster the state's capabilities in delivering quick and fair justice. The need for the course arose due to the vital need for rigorous scientific methods in forensic investigations.

It is noteworthy that IIT Kanpur experts have already begun training UPSIFS students in cyber forensics. Furthermore, UPSIFS is also set to sign MoUs with prestigious educational institutions in India like TISS (Tata Institute of Social Sciences) and CDFD (Centre for DNA Fingerprinting Diagnostics).
