UPSRTC to start 20 ordinary bus services on 6 major routes from Charbagh & Kaiserbagh

In an effort to make travel easier, faster and reliable, the UPSRTC has added 20 ordinary buses of BS six-model and 35 electric buses to Lucknow’s fleet of buses.

The arrival of these buses will bring relief to the daily commuters travelling to routes like Rae Bareli, Barabanki or Gorakhpur. Additionally, E-buses will run within the city, improving the connectivity and reducing the waiting time for passengers.

Buses to run on six routes from Kaiserbadh & Charbagh 

Currently, UPSRTC is operating six types of bus services in the state including ordinary, Janrath, AC sleeper, Scania, Shatabdi and Volvo. In which, 20 new BS six-model, ordinary buses have been added to the fleet. According to the state Transport Department, preparations are being made to operate new buses between all the districts of UP for which, four new buses are being given to each depot.

The new buses are expected to operate on six proposed routes from Kaiserbagh to Gorakhpur, Bareilly, Aligarh, and Charbagh to Fatehpur, Ayodhya, and Rae Bareli. This will also help reduce the passenger rush during festivals like Raksha Bandhan. Apart from this, one bus will be operated from Gorakhpur to the Prayagraj route as well.

Reportedly, the fare and schedule will be decided at the regional level and revealed after the inauguration of the new buses.

New E-buses to ease travel of over 5000 daily commuters

Additionally, 35 new electric buses are also planned to be introduced in the capital city for the convenience of the passenger who has to wait in line for long hours. These buses will run on eight fixed routes from Scooter India to Engineering College, Viraj Khand to SGPGI, Dubagga to Tikaitganj and PGI to Chowk.

With the addition of these buses, the journey of about five thousand passengers will become easy. According to officials, currently, the new buses are standing at Dugabba bus depot waiting to be inaugurated on Independence Day.
