With a marginal decline in the number of positive cases, 108 new COVID-19 cases in Mumbai were reported on Sunday, as compared to 122 on Saturday. The tally of total positive coronavirus cases in Mumbai now stands at 11,49,781, including 732 active cases.
However, the recovery rate in the city remained unchanged at 98.2% with 11,29,320 total recoveries.
According to the data gathered, Maharashtra's Thane district has recorded 52 new COVID-19 cases on September 25, taking the count of total infectious cases to 7,44,837. Adding 52 to the tally, there are currently 452 active cases in Thane.
However, the count of fatality in Thane, remained unchanged at 11,962. The recovery count in the district has reached 7,33,127.
Maharashtra, on September 25, recorded 541 new COVID-19 cases, including 108 from Mumbai, and 52 from Thane. With 546 patients discharged on Sunday, the cumulative count of recoveries in Maharastra has risen to 79,67,314, leaving the state with 3,702 active cases. However, two COVID-19 fatalities were reported in Maharastra, one from Navi Mumbai and one from Nagpur divisions.
The COVID-19 recovery rate in Maharashtra stands at 98.13% and the fatality rate at 1.82%.
