Listen up, Mumbaikars! Every new paycheck calls for a little guilt-free splurging, doesn’t it? And new and pretty additions to the closet never hurt anybody anyway. So for your latest retail therapy sesh, there’s an awesome exhibition that’s happening in Mumbai which y’all gotta attend fosho. 

Antaran (an initiative of Tata Trusts) is bringing to you Crafts Confluence: Antaran X Ensemble, at Kala Ghoda. Highlighting a vibrant tapestry of India’s rich weaving heritage, this exhibition is inviting all to immerse in the discerning world of handwoven textiles. Magic of craftsmanship from six different craft clusters of India

If you swear by cotton clothes or love to dress in handcrafted apparel, then this incredible exhibition is defo where you all must drop by. Here you’ll discover the magic of craftsmanship, from six different craft clusters of India — Nalbari, Kamrup, Maniabandha, Gopalpur, Nagaland, and Venkatagiri. You can even interact with the artisans themselves, hear their stories, and get a chance to learn about their intricate techniques, at this exhibition.

What the exhibition has to offer:

Crafts Confluence is bringing forward a magnificent collection of colourful silk and tussar silk sarees from Odisha. Further, the elegance of mulberry silk sarees, mekhlas and naturally dyed silk products from Assam, are also available here. Apart from clothing, the exhibition will feature a slew of home furnishing items, including cotton cushion covers and table linens from Nagaland.

An array of accessories handwoven by women artisans, such as laptop bags, wallets, and pouches, featuring traditional Naga motifs, are up for grabs too! Overall, if you're an arts and crafts lover, this exhibition will leave you spoilt for choice.

This is your chance to find unique, heirloom-worthy treasures just in time for the festive season. So without further ado, mark your calendars and step into a world of artistry and tradition as 'Antaran Artisans' unite at Ensemble.
