The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued a critical call to action for Mumbai's voters. As part of a special brief revision program, citizens have until August 20, 2024, to update their voter registration details or submit new applications. This initiative has been undertaken by the Election Commission of India.

Starting today, August 6, 2024, the draft voter list is available for public scrutiny. Mumbaikars can file claims and objections for voter registration, name and address changes, and other details until August 20. The process can be completed online or at local polling stations.

Uses: Form 6, Form 7 and Form 8

Voters can use Form 6 for new registrations, Form 7 for objections to existing names, and Form 8 for address changes and mobile number linking. BMC is using SMS notifications to alert citizens about these forms, emphasising the importance of prompt action.
