‘Bow-String’ bridge to partially open for signal-free rides from Marine Drive to Bandra from Sep 12

Mumbai’s new ‘bow-string’ arch bridge, linking the Coastal Road to the Bandra Worli Sea Link (BWSL), is set for a partial opening on September 12. This first phase will enable a smooth, signal-free ride for northbound traffic from Marine Drive to Bandra, bypassing the previous detour at Worli. The south-bound carriageway will facilitate northbound traffic only, offering direct access to the BWSL.

In a festive bonus, the Coastal Road will operate 24/7 until September 17 for Ganeshotsav celebrations. Post-festivities, it will return to its 7 AM to 11 PM schedule.

The full completion, including the southbound connection, is anticipated by year-end, promising a new era of seamless connectivity for Mumbai's bustling populace.
