This new branch is located at the bank's Heritage Building at Fort's MG Road, built in 1902. Furthermore, the centre will provide complete banking and wealth solutions to affluent Indian clients.
Notably, the customers visiting this new Standard Chartered Bank centre will have access to all the facilities provided to global clients. Hence, they can access services across Hong Kong, Singapore, the UK, and the UAE. Here are some important facets of this expansion by the bank:
This new centre is part of an expansion that will see similar branches opening up in top 6 cities in India.
Later, branches are expected to come in state capitals and cities like Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Indore, Bhopal, and Kochi.
Each of these international banking centres will be run by over 800 relationship managers.
This will also see Standard Chartered Bank amp up hiring in the Wealth Management domain.
Higher officials at the bank believe that this expansion will benefit over 750,000 affluent Indians.
The next Standard Chartered International Banking centre will come up in Chennai.
