Maharashtra celebrates Ganesh Chaturthi every year with joy and gaiety. Devotees visit the famous Siddhivinayak Temple in Mumbai during the festival. While Ganesh Chaturthi is a lot of fun, the extra rush of visitors during this season causes many problems, especially on trains.

To help reduce the rush during Ganesh Chaturthi this year, Central Railways decided to launch Additional Ganpati Special Train services, which will run between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Thokur (Karnataka). Read on for details on the train services.

Details for the special train services

The train '01153 Special' will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 10:15 pm everyday, and will reach Thokur at 4:30 pm the next day. This train will run 30 services, from August 13th to September 11th.

On the other hand, the train '01154 Special' will leave Thokur at 7:30 pm daily and reach Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 1:25 pm the next day. This train will also run 30 services, from August 14th to September 12th.
