The first Pritam restaurant opened its doors in Dadar, back in 1942, and claims to have introduced 'purani Dilli-style' Butter Chicken to Mumbai. And now, this famed eatery also has a Juhu outlet, that opened a few months ago!

Star-studded history

Pritam Da Dhaba would undoubtedly have a sizable hall of fame, if it had one. This Punjabi-style restaurant is popular with innumerble famous personalities, especially Bollywood stars and rightfully so!

Given the dhaba's proximity to movie studios, it used to drawn in a number of illustrious actors, including Madhubala, Meena Kumari, Sunil Dutt, Dharmendra, Pran, and Dilip Kumar. Later on, celebrities like Yash Chopra, Zeenat Aman, Rekha, and Sridevi, were also frequent visitors here. Besides, Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev have been spotted enjoying their meals at this dhaba - many times!

One can imagine the fame of this restaurant, as the veteran actor Raj Kapoor inaugurated it in 1975, after it was refurbished. It is said that with this start, Pritam Da Dhaba also became the first AC restaurant in Mumbai!

The Juhu branch of Pritam Da Dhaba is a real eye-catcher! Keeping true to its signature style, the outlet is a fusion of contemporary aesthetics and desi visuals. The restaurant features vibrant murals, dhaba-like seating, a section of exposed brick walls, and plenty of natural light.

Taking inspiration from its iconic establishment in Dadar, this Juhu eatery essentially offers a large dining area, a pleasant alfresco area, and a private room - all within a space of 2,600 square feet.
