On Anant Chaturdashi, the Mumbai Police band, Khaki Studio, delivered a soulful performance to mark the end of Ganesh Chaturthi. They performed the devotional song "Ekadantaya Vakratundaya," blending trumpets and drums in a heartfelt tribute to Lord Ganesha. Shared on Instagram, the performance has garnered widespread praise, with viewers admiring the officers' musical farewell to Bappa.

Over 37,000 Ganesha idols immersed

On the final day of Ganapati Visarjan, a total of 37,064 idols were immersed, with 31% (11,713) of them going into Mumbai's artificial lakes. Of the total, 31,105 were household idols, 5,762 were public (sarvajanik) idols, and 197 were Gauri idols. Authorities reported a smooth and incident-free process, thanks to effective safety protocols and preparations.

Devotees flock to witness Lalbaugcha Raja’s final immersion ceremony

A large crowd of devotees gathered early Wednesday morning in Mumbai for the immersion of the iconic Lalbaugcha Raja idol, amid tight security and festive fanfare. The event marks the final ceremony of Ganesh Chaturthi, known as Visarjan or Anant Chaturdashi, symbolising the conclusion of the celebrations.

BMC’s quick clean-up after Anant Chaturdashi

Following the Anant Chaturthi celebrations, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) promptly initiated a beach clean-up across various locations in Mumbai, including Juhu Beach. The swift action aimed to restore the city's beaches after the immersion festivities, ensuring they were cleared of debris left behind from the celebrations.
